About

Introducing Scott Desert an RIBA Chartered Architect who has recently set up his own local architectural practice, Scott Architecture.

Scott Desert
BA(Hons) BArch RIBA
Chartered British Architect

Scott has recently moved from his family home in Norley to Helsby, having travelled around the world and lived in places as varied as the Bahamas and Anglesey. He thinks this range of living experience has widened his outlook towards design and has contributed to his store of fresh ideas.

Scott has paid his dues in terms of training – studying and graduating from Manchester and Leeds, and spending a year in London, gaining experience in the design and building of luxury residences. So why Cheshire? Well family of course, but also Scott is a keen golfer, and has been asked to help with designing improvements to his golf club at Delamere. Scott has maintained his client base in London and has recently completed two luxury flat refurbishments in Kensington and Hyde Park.

In addition, Scott is currently working on a wide range of interesting projects locally including work on the residential extensions, loft conversions and new builds in addition to stables and commercial projects such as dental practices, local schools and offices. He has already established a local client base that is impressed by his style of working and benefits from consistent recommendations and repeat clients.

Scott says he plans to specialise in luxury residential property, and he has expertise and interest in sustainable building, including use of new technology to reduce carbon footprints. As well as helping the planet, such designs can help to keep costs down, through reduced bills and utilising grant funds which are available for some projects.

Scott’s work locally and in London has seen him cover the whole range of responsibilities – from drawings, to planning permission, building control applications, project management and site visits. Some architects specialise in just part of the recess, but Scott finds the full range of the work exciting.

He would be interested in working with anyone who may be looking for help with feasibility studies, planning applications, appraisal design, and all kinds of architectural advice, be this for a new build, extension or other project.
